Our story

In the Fall of 2004 two freinds drove up to Snowbowl Resort in Flagstaff, Arizona on a mission to start a journal that would help them connect to prayer in more intentional way. My Mom, Terri Unkovich was one of those women and she wrote the note below to begin the process.

Since then, the journal has evolved and the incredible stories surrounding it have grown. Answered Prayers and inbeleivable coincidences have followed.

“I have taken classes on journaling, praying, scripture and
the power of prayer over the years. From those classes and a
workshop in a Bible study, I came up with my version of a prayer
journal. It has proven to be such a blessing on so many levels.
My first page entry in my prayer journal says this:
"As I start this prayer journal as part of a homework task for a
Bible study I am in…I also find myself drawn to this at this time
in my life. I feel a very strong need to be closer to God in
prayer. To pray more deeply for my family and those I love. To
be more committed and involved in my prayer life. To search for
and know scripture better, and with confidence & total faith
claim the promises that God has for us in His word. My favorite
verse is Luke 1:45 "Blessed is she who has believed that what
the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!" I find myself
clinging to this verse as I pray for Alanna, Paige & Bill. So as I
begin this journal I also begin this new journey and season in my
